Kristi Hamelin

Kristi Hamelin earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Dance from the University of California at Riverside and has been teaching, choreographing and performing for over 30 years. Her studies emphasized Dance History, pedagogy, instruction and choreography. Kristi’s performance experience includes musical theater roles in Oklahoma!, Big River, Wizard of Oz, Evita, Will Rogers Follies, Mame, Cabaret, and Sweet Charity. She has performed roles in the classic ballets The Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, and Cinderella. Kristi was recognized by the Desert Theater League for best choreography of a ballet for her work in Palm Desert CA. and was nominated for the Disney’s Teacher of the Year Award. Kristi believes the Performing Arts, Musical Theater and dance environments offer each child the opportunity to discover new ways of moving, thinking, and expressing oneself. These discoveries promote confidence, positive self-esteem, and genuine successes for people of all ages. As an educator, Kristi is thankful to share her love of the performing arts with the students of The Music Room.
